Hi guys

I had weight loss surgery (http://www.duodenalswitch.com) on 2/20 of

this year. My highest weight pre op was 496 and day of surgery I was

478 but 7 days later on discharge day I was 503 from water weight

gain. Im 15 wks post op and down to 430! :)

I found out I have hypothyroidism in 95' and have been on synthroid

every since. Never the same dose...its been upped periodically every

since then tho.

When I had surgery my dose was .325 which is VERY high I know...the

pill only goes as high as .3 so I have to take that and .025 a day!

UGH

Well I was hoping that after surgery and some weight loss...my dose

could be lowered...no such luck...jsut got my labs back and they had

to up my dose to .350 now!!!

Should I be worried that its going up and not down? Is it going to

cause me to not lose as much as someone without hypo and syhthroid?

I also take 60mg paxil a day for anxiety/panic attacks....I heard

this can cause weight gain...any of you know about this?

Am I doomed being on sythroid and paxil? Any other post op Weight

loss surgery patients on either of these meds please post to me! Im

stressin out!

HELP~
