There is no max. amount. Everyone's fill needs are individual. More fill is not

better fill. We want the SMALLEST fill that will help, never the largest we can

try to tolerate. The fill is never supposed to be making it impossible to eat.

It's supposed to be dimming hunger between meals so we can eat better and less.

What would you consider the max amount of fill to function so can get the weight

off?

I meant also to add that the type and size of a band one has makes a difference

too - for instance, the old small 9.75 cm/4 cc band needs a much smaller fill

overall to reach a safe level of restriction than the new 14 cc band. There are

so many individual factors with every single patient, there are no black and

white answers

This is why it takes time and patienve to get to a good level, and why we must

creep up slowly. As little as 0.1 - 0.2 cc can be the difference between " not so

good " and " just right " .

I'd also like to stress that our goal is to " get the weight off safely and in a

way that can last " , not just " get the weight off:. We don;t want to starve and

lose poorly, becuase - just like before - the weight will come right back. The

key is not the band, but sincre lifestyle changes. The Band and fill are only a

tool to help achieve this.
