Guest guest
I have had a t3 test and my t3 was 3.5 (range 3.0 - 6.2). This is obviously low in the range. Will t3 benefit me given these low results? I have always felt that my thyroid as low, and blood test have always told me the opposite, so i decided to have my t3 done. I do have some mild symptoms of hypothyroidism. I had my adrenals checked (ACTH test) and am still waiting for the results. How can I convince my doctor to give me armour/cytomel? Or should I just try and find another doctor? He says that it doesnt matter hat my t3 is, and that i won't need to increase it. This is the endocrinologist not my GP. Guest guest
I would suggest a salivary test which shows the amount in the tissues rather than the amount in the blood which is supposed to be less useful. You may find that this shows you as being hypothyroid.
