Sounds like the kind of doctor we would all like . He does seem a caring person. If the local laboratory refuse to test your Free T4 and Free T3, I would get him to take your blood and send it to NPTech Services for them to test. At least, this will give you a lot of answers and you can then take things from there. I hope he can refer you through the NHS to the endo. in Worcester.

I've just been to see him re my latest bloodtest. Only the TSH was tested (0.27) and he said the labs are often reluctant to test T4 too. He said this shows me back in the lower end of normal range but that given I still have symptoms he is happy to increse the Thyroxine and would also look at adding in T3 if it doesn't improve as he does have patients on it who report improvements. Also I mentioned a private referral to the Endo in Worcester Sheila mentioned and he said lets look to see if we can refer you through the NHS first!
