Also, have moved over to bottled water (but in plastic bottles) - have you any names of good water filter systems? Guest guest
Hi Keri, See http://www.nrc-cnrc.gc.ca/eng/education/elements/el/bi.html It says what bismuth is used for. Make-up and medication for stomach upsets are in the list, as well as its use in nuclear reactors! Hope this helps, Tracey --- In thyroid treatment , " kericaswell " <kericaswell@...> wrote > Also, my hair analysis test last October came up with arsenic, > bismuth and uranium as high - any ideas please? I am looking at other makeups and did use haaemorrhoid creams in the past - think they are linked with hypo t symptoms too .... luv keri
Guest guest
Hi Lilian, A good one for Sheila to end her research with? Subject: Fluoride - Armour - etc. 200 years ago Jefferson - the third President of the USA and author of the Declaration of Independence said " if people let government decide what foods they eat and what medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny " . Guest guest
Hi Keri, You don't have to read all or any of this; stop when it gets too much. The fluoride present in Red Bush tea is there for the same reason the fluoride is present in ordinary tea. Th tap roots go down a long way to keep the plant supplied with water in arid regions. It pulls up the fluoride at the level of the water table, where calcium fluoride is the major component of the soil fluoride content. Calcium fluoride has a solubility that enables it to maintain about 1 +/- ppm of fluoride in water from that source. Soils usually contain enough calcium to ensure that the water from a particular source has a 'naturally controlled' amount of fluoride in it. The same principle applies to the uranium content of low level waters. There is sufficient uranium/thorium to keep the supply of them in drinking waters from deeper levels at a constant low amount. However, what the water suppliers can control is how much of the radioisotopes get into the final water supplied to the taps in your house. It gets trickier to define the varying amounts of all the heavy radioactive elements and their radioactive daughter products. They only do a generalised count of the alpha particle emitters in drinking water and even then it's from a continuously running samplng point at the water treatment works (not from your domestic tap). So, the amount of lime scale that builds up in your water system will contain the radioactive daughters of the original uranium/thorium contained in the drinking water supply. For instance, Severn Trent Water have failed the alpha emitter content on more than 10% of the water samples taken during 2006 (on public record). That implies that they can't control it even at the 'official' water sampling point, let alone in the distribution/domestic pipes. Water from reservoirs where the catchment is essentially surface rain water, generally have both low fluoride and low uranium/thorium. Water that comes from any source where the water has percolated though either sedimentary or igneous rocks will contain the amount of fluoride or uranium/thorium associated with the rock types included within those geological structures. The deeper the water goes, the more likely that it will contain relatively larger contents of either of these two problem 'minerals'. In summary, the fluoride in tea or red bush tea contributes to our daily ingestion of fluoride.....it's just that the more expensive content in either of the teas seems to be discountd by the government and its advisors. Of course, in the old days, when tea came from China; we got into a helluva fix not being able to pay for the tea with silver so we started running heroine into the Chinese ports to pay for the tea, hence the Opium Wars with China ...and the embarrassing events leading to the return of Hong Kong to the honourable Chinese. They stuck to their international agreements and obligations. Why is this important? Fluoride affects thyroid funtion, and tea proved to be an enormous benefit to manufacturers in this country, enabling workers to continue working for longer hours with less immediate sickness, and possibly more longer term sickness that was covered up by the introduction of 'asylums' for the 'lazy' factory workers. 'Workhouses', they were called. Sad story best, left untold Bob > > > >What does anyone think about the fluoride present in redbush tea? > I drink a lot of it? > > Also, have moved over to bottled water (but in plastic bottles) - > have you any names of good water filter systems? > > Also, my hair analysis test last October came up with arsenic, > bismuth and uranium as high - any ideas please? You are so knowledgeable - I have thought myself 'lazy' this last year but know why now. Bob - what do you do water wise to reduce the toxins? Where does all your knowledge come from? All this REALLY interests me and when I am 'better' I want to study. Thanks. luv keri > > >

As usual you're a fountain of knowledge! What ARE you BTW? Where does all this stuff come from? I always appreciate your posts.
Guest guest
I didn't know that, but I could see how such a connection could arise in reverse. Constipation can be one of the symptoms of hypothyroidism and if you are constipated then you are much more likely to develop piles. It follows that you may then use haemorrhoid cream. Fortunately I have only suffered from severe costipation and piles as a direct result of taking iron in pill form. Now I'm taking liquid iron I have no constipation or piles whatsoever. From this board I gather that a lot of hypoT people suffer from very low iron too, and I wonder if their constipation could be due more to the form of iron they take rather than soley down to the hypoT. Anyway, just a thought.
