Guest guest
I have just seen a GP (in the practice, but not MY GP)and he says that he would possibly prescribe armour & hc for me if an endo says so. He seemed very impressed with how I have balanced by meds, but said that he would need me to see an endo before he would prescribe armour or hc. So now, I need to find out the name of an endo who works the way I want, and would recommend both armour and who also treats the adrenals. Does anybody know anyone who fits the bill as near to me as possible, but I will travel if I have to. I live on the Herts/Cambs border. It would need to be an endo rather than a doctor who specialises in this, as I do not think he would take notice of them in the same way. I have a small BUPA membership if they are not NHS. Guest guest
I can only recommend you look at our list Val. I think yhou are more likely to get Armour recommended than HC, but wait and see. If you are prepared to travel, I can highly recommend the Yorkshire Endo's (I think they are all trying the experiment together and finding that in most cases, it is working). Now - why did I think you lived in Scotland, it must have been all the mention of golf and thinking of you at St 's ;o) Luv - Sheila half way there I have just seen a GP (in the practice, but not MY GP)and he says that he would possibly prescribe armour & hc for me if an endo says so. Guest guest
How do I distinguish between an endo & another doctor on the list? I would not want to book an appointment at this time of the year in Yorkshire (I am a bit of a coward with the possibility of slippery roads etc & we have dogs which makes any travel more problematic), and if possible I would like to get this sorted while the doctor seems to be keen to refer me, and while he remembers he said that he would need to have comments from an endo before prescribing. I guess if I cannot find someone closer I shall try to get an appointment with the Yorkshire endos. Do any of them prescribe/suggest hc, or is it just armour I would gain on the NHS through seeing them? I did go to Scotland for a holiday this year & felt very tempted by the idea of living there - cheaper golf etc. but my hubby would not like the colder temperatures.
