I don't know if it was the iodine or Armour or both but I lost over 20 lbs in 3 mos. Iodoral/WEIGHT LOSS Anyone else here have weight just "melting off" since Iodoral use? I can't believe it but I'm losing like 3 lbs a week since starting Iodoral. Anyone else having this experience? I find it interesting that I was put on Lithium for 3 years and gained about 50 lbs. and now I found out that lithium strips your iodine and now that I'm replacing it, I'm losing all this weight....Anyone else? My closet ranges from size 10-20 as I needed to keep up with my size as it increased.....At this point, and now at age 47, I'd be perfectly content to ever wear my 12's again. I would love to see my 8's again but who knows I think another 10 lbs would help. Right now i am enjoying eating. It used to be that I worried about what I breathed. Steph Wow , That's great. I switched for 4 yrs. on Synthroid, to 1 1/2 grains Thyroid-s for 1 month, and , and 15 mg. Isocort for 1 week.,( Lugols 3 weeks 2-4 drops). That is the dosage my ND recommends. If you feel OK try to increase to 37.5 and so on. Watch for hyper symptoms and detoxing symptoms. It is really trial and error if you do not do the loading test. In his final chapter he states " I have often found an effective dose to be somewhere between 12 and 50 mg. per day " . I have been reading as much as I can about Iodine deficiency, and I want to try it based on the fact I ate NO SALT FOR 10 YEARS + per order of DR's, re: high BP and now, I know under treated hypo. I am on Thyroid-S and Isocort, but my BP is still high and I am concerned about breast health, also. I will start slow. I keep reading it can be good for the whole body, I have used several supplements for health my whole life and I believe they benefit me greatly along with healthy food! Thank you all for the help. That is what I went by. On the bottle the dose recommend is 1 tab/day or as recommended by physician. I think the more deficient a person is, the longer s/he has been sick and severity of symptoms, the more difficult it will be to take a low dose/lower than 50mg.
