Hi Everybody, Will somebody please look on their bottle of Lugo's Solution and tell me the amount of iodine per drop? Also, does anybody know the amount we should be taking? Thanks! Love, Pamela

Mine says 5% Iodine, Potassium Iodide 10% Water 85% It does not say how

much Iodine per drop.

I read today two conflicting sources - one said there was 6.5 mg of

iodine in a single drop of Lugol's and the other said 8.6 mg in a

single drop.

So it is probably somewhere around there.

Ok, got this from Dr. Brownstein's Iodine book:

"Dr. Lugol began using a solution termed "Lugol's Iodine" that was a 5% iodine and 10% potassium iodide in water. Two drops of Lugol's solution (0.1 ml) contains 5 mg of iodine and 7.5 mg of iodide. " Pgs 59 & 60.

Hi Pamela..I'm new around here and have been lurking a bit. I take 2 drops Lugol's daily, and it has 12 mg. per drop total of iodine and iodide. Don't know the ratios. Sorry.
