Guest guest
How does one know if they have leaky cells? Thanks, Irene At 05:03 PM 12/28/2007, you wrote: the very deep cystic acne (like I experienced when I first went on the Iodoral) showed up In my understanding from listening to the lectures of Dr. (of NY cancer treatment fame) is that magnesium makes your cells more leaky. So if you already have leaky cells (like I do) then it makes them more so. If you are tight celled, then, magnesium can be great, because it allows you to release more toxins from the cells and let more antioxidants etc. in. Which may be why it is an important part of the iodine treatment program. This idea has proven true for my experience, so a little magnesium has a big effect. Perhaps different people need differing amounts of magnesium to get the same effect, and some can overdo it easily if they are already leaky celled? I was experiencing night sweats and even the occasional hot flash. Personally, I associate hot flashes and night sweats with detox reactions, perhaps brought to the forefront by hormonal status as one nears menopause. Allergies are exacerbated by lowering hormones of all kinds. I have found I can bring on hot flashes and night sweats by consuming foods, supplements to which I have sensitivities and allergies. So at least for me, I know there is a lot more going on than hormonal issues alone, even though hormones play a great part in sensitivities and allergies. And skins eruptions are one of the main ways my body tries to eliminate toxins. Karima
