Guest guest
Yes am doing it for bromide. What I mean is, do I have to MIX the salt with the water or can I take the salt, THEN the water? And does it have to be warm water? > > If you are doing it for bromide - no you need to flush it with water. > > Steph > > > Salt protocol > > > > Hi, I know someone asked this before but I don't remember the answer. > > When I take my salt, I HATE taking it with warm water. Guest guest
It has to be as it is written. I am not sure why but this is an old remedy. The warm water is there for a reason. I remember reading about it but can't remember the details. Guest guest
Use a straw if you hate the taste. You can drink a lot of fluid using a straw without tasting it. Guest guest
It's what Ive been using, and yes it is really salty - and gritty! I put it in capsules and swallow it that way. I did find some pink Himalayan salt at Trader Joes and we all liked it much better! It also comes in a container that allows you to crank it like a pepper mill so it is smaller and not gritty, in fact it is almost powdery. I'm still doing the Realsalt in the capsules for the main amount, but using the Himalayan on food - much tastier! On Aug 7, 2011, at 4:27 PM, seafordsand wrote: Hi Everyone! Now, I never felt as though I over did salt but would be a fair amount on my food. I suppose after purchasing Real Salt, what I had been putting on my food was a combination of salt & anti=caking agent....more emphasis on the anti-caking agent. The Real Salt is from Redmond Trading Co. I paid $6.92 for 26oz. It will take me a while to use this as it is truly way too salty for me! Anyone else find it disgusting? Guest guest
The salt will grow on you as you use and take more. We like both Celtic and Redmond’s Real Salt. Yes, Celtic is wet, that is part of the natural minerals. But it is NOT $40.00 per lb! You can get it easily on line. We buy the coarse grind, place it in bowls on the counter and stir it every once in a while. After 3 days it is dried out, then we grind it in either small grinders or a coffee mill to make fine grind. But Redmond’s Real salt works better in regular salt shakers, which is important for my family and company. So we use both! Donna in IL Hi Everyone! Guest guest
http://www.edenfoods.com/store/product_info.php?products_id=105365We use both here too but I have to say I prefer the celtic.  This is what we buy as it is for sale at Whole Foods and the co-ops here.  I have a 1/2 tsp in the jar and we just put the jar on the table for use.  The Redmonds Real Salt hardly gets used anymore.  I find it too gritty for me.  I use the celtic to salt my food and will toss a 1/2 tsp in the back of my throat and just toss it down with a glass of water.  I actually enjoy the lingering saltiness in the back of my mouth.  Have also bought some coarse ground celtic which we keep for a variety of uses.  I got that online via Amazon.com - free shipping - reasonable price.Jaxi On Sun, Aug 7, 2011 at 10:12 PM, Donna Iler <Donna@...> wrote: The salt will grow on you as you use and take more. Guest guest
Sandy,I also had trouble with the salt protocol. I gagged so bad when I tried to drink it in the water I couldn't get it down. Someone here or on another group I am on recommended just 'throwing it back' and then washing it down with the water. It worked much better, but it still was very salty. I had trouble finding Celtic Sea salt locally and had bought another brand that the natural food store owner recommended. The owner and the label said it was all natural. Then a friend gave me some Celtic Sea salt her daughter had bought online. Wow! what a difference! Much more mild in taste. I still just throw it back, but it goes down much easier now. I don't know how much it cost because it was a gift, but it is worth it!Kathy
Guest guest
Celtic Salt is amazing, I like the idea leaving it out to dry to use it in my salt grinder.. I too dip my finger in the jar I have it in and eat it plain. I have never been one to salt my foods or cook with salt since its was drilled into my head NOT TO! NOW I have enlarge thyroid and 8 nodules.. so, I'm salting up now I got my Celtic Salt at my whole foods grocery store. COSTLY but less then shipping online. I think my body has always craved salt since I remember picking up salt rocks from the train tracks when I visited my grandma in Texas.
