(ivonnewa1) I'm exactly in the same boat. I have a very good

treadmill in my home, for rainy days. Want to start group

excercises, soon after surgery in my town. A few years ago, I had

excellent results from group dance, so fun and happy, til the group

ended. I need education about diet and vitimins. I know I will

walk, at least... and when i find a good group again, will excercise

with them. I know this because, I'm determined as hell... for the

first time in a decade I FEEL HOPEFUL!

I currently take SeaSilver. i need to learn what's working for

liguid vitimins and diet. I was getting some wrong info,I

believe... as my first education was from group of bypass ppl. Was

told that I could NEVER have dairy or sugar again. I have specific

questions which i'll adress in Kirkland, Wed nite. Some are small

questions. Can i ever drink carbonated water again? I was

told " Never Again " to any carbonation from bypass ppl. Also, i love

coffee with hazelnut (not fat-free, tho I can change if i HAVE to,

grrrrrrr)... coffee in the morning. I enjoy my first cup of coffee,

and hope i can still have it.

I have an addiction to ciggy's and I want to get past a huge hurdle

of some weight loss.. and then move onto quitting cigs. Some of

You may think this is bassackwards, but I've always said to myself,

I'll quit the cigs when i lose the weight... well I never lost the

weight, so far. I KNOW Cigarett addiction is a BIG UGLY DEAL! One

doesn't have to tell this to a tobacco addict, just the same as one

doesn't have to tell a fat person... " You're FAT ! " We already KNOW

it! I know if i try to do all at once i will fail. I know i must

pace myself. I do worry that I'm going to be too needy for support

from all you great ppl, and from Jessie whom already HAS a full time

JOB. smiles, cryssss.

Atkins didn't work for me, as i was cheating with my beloved

hazelnut... even so... my thinking changed as did my choices for

food, with Atkins (except for the hazelnut creamer) Now I have to

educate myself and choose the proper foods for the " banding " life.
