Adrenal testing is necessary. You should be sure that it's low cortisol

that's causing fatigue... because too much cortisol will cause damage. The

canary club testing is good as it will test you for a 24 hour period.

I have a question or two about adrenal insufficiency.

Now I'm wondering what type of adrenal testing is really valid.

Saliva testing? Or is testing even necessary...couldn't I start with

a small amount and see how I feel? Does anyone have experience with this?

Also, isn't there a trade-off in taking Isocort and other adrenal

hormones? Does one need to be careful in avoiding dependency?

I have a lot to learn about this. Will anyone recommend a good book

on the topic?

Thanks for your help,

Deanna

I’m

going to get this product. We could use some natural calm around here

with 2 kids in deepest darkest puberty. And it’s a major issue to

get them to take pills. I will vouch for the working your way up

thing. When I bought my first bottle of chelated magnesium I dosed myself

and DH heavy and we both hated the effect and gave up. This time we’re

going slow and all is well.

Re: adrenal

insufficiency - questions

I was thinking the same thing. I had developed a

serious startle reflex and trying to relax or get into a comfortable position

at night was not to be had. The magnesium supplementation was

great. Try the Natural Calm brand, it's powder you mix with hot water and

use like a not tea and it's easily assimilated. Just be sure to start out

with only 1 tsp and build your way up to 3 tsps.

A couple ounces of pumpkin seeds gives about the RDA of magnesium. Maybe you

could bring some into the house and even epsom salts (magnesium sulphate) in

bath water will help boost levels.
