Guest guest
For me increasing my iodine did make my adrenals stressed. But I don't have insomnia - I get wired / tired and can't fall asleep easily. I upped my adrenal support and take celtic salt (1/2 tsp) in warm water and it helps me sleep. Guest guest
Iodine works great for sleep at the right dose. I would consider 6mg to be too low. How do you know that you have adrenal fatigue? Are you on thyroid meds? For adrenals I take cortef 5mg 4X a day and Standard Process Drenamin abd 7-keto DHEA. Gracia Since beginning supplementation with iodoral, I've noticed that I'm waking up between 1 and 3 am every morning and can't get back to sleep. I'm only taking 6mg a day in the morning. I re-read the posts on iodine and insomnia and it seems that for some, insomnia improves and for others it gets worse with iodine supplementation. Since I have adrenal fatigue, I'm wondering if cortisol or adrenaline levels are kicking in at night with the iodoral and if it's a sign that I should cut back on the iodoral and get adrenals functioning first. The iodine improves thyroid and perhaps it puts too much strain on the adrenals. I also read some posts about iodine's affect on mineral absorption and am wondering if it's bringing to light a calcium or cal/mag deficiency.
