Guest guest
Ok.. I swear I replied to this, but I'm not seeing it show up. I've had a rumbly in my tumbly and it isnt from hunger. I was up a few times making a mad dash to the bathroom, last nights dinner was out by 9am and looked pretty much the same as when it went in (I know TMI). I thought I had *finally* gotten rid of my rotten egg burps, but they showed back up while trying to eat dinner, hopefully the runs will subside before too long, but with the burps still here I'm not counting on it. I am so sick and tired of being sick and tired! I had my exercise clothes all set to put on this morning, but with the lack of sleep, the cramps and runs (not to mention the gas) I decided against doing much of anything. Including getting on line. I hope everyone else is having a better day! a
Guest guest
I'm here ... just tired! My exercise plans for the day: *If it warms up a wee bit, going to walk to the park on the corner and let kids play for half hour while I finish planning tonight's TOPS meeting. *Coming home to do some housework after (don't worry ... it's light stuff!) ***I *hate* not being able to do my usual activities!!*** Eating: *Had toasted tomato sandwich for breakfast *Making veggie pasta for lunch *Dinner will be fish & steamed veggies with a hint of lemon *My snacks are usually an apple or some carrots Well, must get going ... my soon-to-be-one-year-old is wailing cause the dog woke him up (the joys of yappy dogs!) Our schnauzer use to go over to the crib, raise himself up on his hind legs, and lick any part of Henry he could reach to wake him up. Even at age 15 he loved to play with the baby, but knew if he barked to wake him he would get in trouble. Sue in NJ

Our holidays start Oct. 4 with my oldest daughter's birthday and don't stop until Feb. 26 with my younger daughter's birthday. Very tough for me. I've fallen back into some old habits this week and that has got to stop. I went out for Tex Mex last night and those evil chips jumped right in my mouth. We are in the process of trying to get our heaters in shape and house caulked etc....now. as since we get paid monthly there is only a couple pay checks left before heating season. And I don't even want to think of the Holidays yet! It seems I'm never ready for them. Halloween isnt a biggie for me because I'm not much on candy with the exception of a few things like snickers. But Thanksgiving and Christmas is always hard. It's the main dishes and sides that does me in not the desserts. > Hope to hear from you guys soon! My daughters and mine both is the same day so its a biggie. Then in December we have Christmas and my grand daughters, and my son in laws birthday. The the second week in Jan my other grand daughters birthday so from Thankgivings to the middle of January is loaded for us. > I've fallen back into some old habits this week and that has got to stop. > I > went out for Tex Mex last night and those evil chips jumped right in my > mouth. Sometimes it's just too hard to resist certain foods. And you won't go though life never eating them again. So all I can recomend is to try and remember portion sizes, enjoy them and get in more exercise or cut calories on your next meal.
Guest guest
Hi Bonnie and everyone. I am here - present and accounted for. Took a couple of days off two weeks in a row, went no mail and then decided to just bag it for reading everything on site and catching up.... My ex was in the hospital for 2 weeks and is now out at his sister's recovering and then in a week they are going to do a pace maker. So, on top of the post-vacation exhaustion, I have been dealing with the kids and that... Nothing else new - I did go for that 90 min walk Thurs, nothing Fri (go figure LOL) and will *try* to get my exercise in this weekend. Anyway, I miss all the chatter too - Sue, , SulaBlue, etc (I agree, too many names to list LOL) - where are you all? Hugs, h

You make me smile although that wasn't as funny as your brink of death comment. Now that was funny. You've seen those pro basketball players slam dunk that ball in the basket? It was more like that I'm afraid. Dunk into the salsa and dunk into my mouth. Sigh. 17 weeks of eating healthy but it's still hard to stay on track. It's very hard to break habits that I had for years and years. I'm really struggling at work too. Blech. Someone brings breakfast every Friday. Today I had a croissant with ham and swiss. Not terrible but then I took a piece of pound cake back to my desk. I worked out at lunch break and then ate what I brought from home which was deli roast beef, sliced cheese, lots of strawberries and a little cream cheese and crackers. I went to the little kitchen area for some water and there were cookies in there. Ack! I had 2 big oatmeal cookies. I bring healthy stuff for lunch but I get tempted by the sweets. At least I had oatmeal cookies instead of chocolate chip. Better oatmeal and sugar than white flour and sugar. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it! This will be a life long struggle. Will I ever look forward to the gym more than I look forward to lunch? I kind of doubt it. At least I've been slicing up strawberries to take for lunch which is a healthy treat. I usually take sliced turkey and swiss but I got some deli roast beef and ham for a change. The cream cheese was an unusual treat. Bonnie's post got me thinking. I've been lifting weights for 2 weeks now and I'm eating much worse. Maybe going to the gym is making me hungrier. Maybe I need to up the healthy food a bit so I'm not tempted with the junk. Or maybe having a little sugar is making me crave more. Dunno but it has to stop. Everything in moderation is fine. The problem is the everything part is easy and the in moderation part is hard. Of course it is. 17 weeks seems like a long time granted....but think how long we ate unhealthy and with bad habits. Then 17 weeks is just a drop in the bucket. Sometimes i wonder if I can do this or if I'm just kidding myself. But what i do know ifs there's no way I will go though life without having the junk foods and foods I love. So I know I'm going to eat them sooner of later. So try not to let it get you down too much. I just have to remind myself I can't do this daily. I hope you have better luck with yourself listening to yourself then I do:) > I'm really struggling at work too. Blech. Someone brings breakfast every > Friday. I do ok too with my meals that I prepare but when I get into trouble is when someone else brings the foods. My son just brought home a box of doughnuts and chocolate milk the other day. I have totally avoided the powered doughnuts and the chocolate doughnuts but I have been eating 2 glazed doughnuts and a glass not cup of chocolate milk at breakfast yesterday and today too. Good thing he dosent do that often.Last week he did bring home long john's for supper and it was the same story. I need to get a gripe when other people supply the food:( I'm not really concerned with WHAT they bring but with me not sticking to PORTION control when I eat it.I have to learn to deal with this as there will always be people supplying food sooner or later. I have to learn to deal with it.I just havent managed to master that yet. > This will be a life long struggle. Will I ever look forward to the gym > more > than I look forward to lunch? Thank goodness I don't have to worry about brown bagging something daily. For my lunch it is usually kinda easy. Me and hubby are usually the only ones here for lunch so we have pretty much the same selections of foods. i don't cook large meals for lunch. It's usually a grab kinda of meal. You know the quick tv dinners, hot pockets or canned ravioli. Supper is the meal I have to watch portion and calories at. > Bonnie's post got me thinking. I've been lifting weights for 2 weeks now > and I'm eating much worse. Dunno but it has > to > stop. You know Bonnie got me to thinking too. She said something about switching up my exercise and adding variety to it. Last night I did that video and I think she is onto something. I got to reading and it says your body adjusts to it if you do the same things day after day. So I did that video. I really do think it made a difference.I could feel it as I was doing it. I was working different muscles etc... I think sometimes my multi vitamins helps too.I think I read somewhere that a spoon of peanut butter on a square of crackers helps if you eat it about 30 minutes before exercising. I don't know if it works or not. > Everything in moderation is fine. The problem is the everything part is > easy and the in moderation part is hard. AMEN!!!!!! Guest guest
Hi Bonnie, I'm here sort of. Haven't checked my e-mail in several days. Lots of things happening. Finally got my car fixed yesterday. My toilet still needs work done on it. This heat has really been getting to me. I'm beginning to wonder if it will ever cool off again. I haven't done any exercise as far as videos go in several weeks. I have walked around at Wal-Mart some and stuff like that, but other then walking no big exercises. Did some house work today and worked up quite a swet. Needed to get some house work done. Still have more to do, but plan on doing more later (probably tomorrow). I am thinking that now is a good time to start getting my apartment back into some sort of shape. I haven't been keeping up on cleaning it as good as I should have been. At least I got a start on it today. My sister had WLS about two months ago and the last two weeks she has been in the hospital. She has had nothing but problems ever since she had the surgery. They let her out of the hospital yesterday and she is supposed to be home with lots and lots of pain meds. Drops only though. She can't eat a thing. Lots of complications. Glad I wasn't planning on having the surgery myself. I plan to lose the weight the old fashion way if possible. Well, have things to get done. Hopefully I won't be gone so long this next time. from MO.

Guest guest
Hey there . My sister was out of the hospital for two days and now she is back in again. I'm really worried about her. My mom just called about an hour ago to let me know my sister was back in the hospital. She is not allowed to eat or drink any thing at all. She now has a feeding tube in her, but something is wrong with it. This WLS has really messed her up really bad. I am beginning to think the heat will never break. I can't do much of anything. The heat just sucks the energy out of me. It is so hot in my apartment. We have the air going and two fans going, but it is still hot in here. Don't think the air conditioner is working properly. We don't have air conditioning in my car either. Haven't had money for a long time now to get that fixed. My husband and I went to the laundry mat today and it felt so good to be in the air conditioning in there. I wish I could go there every day, but don't have the money to wash clothes every day. I know some day this heat has got to break, but it just seems to be going on and on forever. Our temp thing read 107 out today, and it shows it is in the 80's in side. It is just miserable! from MO. Guest guest
Hi , Glad to have you amongst the posting for the moment.... sorry about the computer issues. WOW @ 700+ emails - I don't blame you, I would "select all" and "delete" - but, if you can, at least read through some of them, you might get some support/inspiration you need. The 6 lbs you re-gained will go again, just get back on plan as soon as possible with eating and exercising. I wish I could make my computer cook for me and be my exercise buddy LOL, I might get more done and do it better.... Hang in there,

I gained back the 6 pounds I'd lost and haven't exercised in a week I am trying to get back on plan but it is soooo hard. I cam back to 700+ emails so I did a lot of delete delete.... forgive me! Guest guest
Hi . Sorry you couldnt get the computer to work. Thats aggravating to put time and money into a project like that and not get it to work. Maybe he just needs time away from it and then a light bulb will go on and he'll be able to fix it. As far as you falling off plan, It happens. Glad you have already trying to get back on plan. And boy is it ever hard. I know. I hurt my neck and lazied off exercise for a few days then it got better. A couple days later I hurt it again. It's ok again but noow I'm trying to get back on my exercise wagon. Guest guest
Well - I have been up since 5.30a.m. working on some stuff I am putting together hopefully for a TV programme. I have been working on this for days, but was adding to it this morning until 8.30a.m. when BCRASH, BANK WOLLOP - they cut off our electricity. We had been warned 2 weeks ago but had completely forgotten about it even though we put it in our diary (which we never look at of course). I lost everything, I went outside and told off the poor repair men who were doing something with their cables. I told them somebody should have come and dropped a reminder in our doors a couple of days ago and then I would not have lost all my work. Thank goodness I had backed up all the rest, so it was only this morning's work I had lost. Anyway, we decided to have another day off to complete our holiday and it was wonderful. Anyway, it is nice to be missed, but I am still a bit cross with myself for having forgotten. I have come back to 72 messages. Luv - Sheila Where is everyone this morning?? missing you all!!
