Also if you havent asked for info on emotional/head hunger they should not be suggesting CD's for you to purchase. I think there is a very fine line between what is acceptable and what is not. That is fine with me. What I disagree with is an unsolicited " offer " of any product that I would have to purchase. That to me is crossing the line, no matter how friendly the offer is..... I received the same emails a few weeks ago ... and at 1st I thought it was someone who genuinely CARED. But, every email she sent kept saying " I have these CDs " ... and then others started saying someone was trying to sell CDs. In general, when someone emails you privately -- they offer a longer email than " I know how you feel .... try these CDs. " They also respond more personally -- and that type of support and friendship is GREAT. But, it's people like this that are just trying to cash in on someone's emotions and personal struggle. So, don't feel bad that you misunderstood ... like I said, I was unaware of her/his true intentions at 1st too ... but, the 3rd and 4th email kind of got my attention. The person also changes their sign in name so they can continue to join groups. C. She has been banned on at least 2 other Bandster groups that I belong to. Someone on some of the other bandster lists is privately contacting bandsters and trying to sell them some motivational CD's. We do not allow people to use the bandster lists to sell anything. We are a peer to peer support group only. If someone contacts you privately and says they got your address from a bandster list, and tries to sell you something, or starts harassing you, it is a violation of our rules. She is an extremely nice lady who is always willing to help any new bandsters or old for that matter. I have received much advice from her on the other bandsters board. She is always willing to offer advice where needed and I think that is all the tapes are an extension of really. I understand that she is probably making some money from them so it isn't right to push them on people from the groups but I think they could be a very helpful tool to anyone (banded or not). This person has been spamming the bandster lists for a while now as well as sending the same come-on privately to people. One mention, maybe, just as an FYI. This has gone way beyond that. I don't know what I would have done without her during my first month or so. When I couldn't get ahold of the doctor's office I always knew I could just drop an email to her directly and she would answer immediately. I agree though I haven't seen any posts from her lately so I'm thinking it must be her. Too bad, I'm glad I still have her personal email in my address book.
