Guest guest
Lynn, how do you think a person who is going to take 100 mgs a day works up to that? Surely you can't start out with the amount! =His nurse had ovarian and breast cancer. She saw Flechas 2 weeksbefore she was scheduled for breast surgery and he put her on 100mgsof iodine. She canceled her surgery and has been fine since. He alsotold me about another patient who showed clear on her PET scan 21 daysafter being on 100mgs/day. .. Guest guest
Lynn, I was advised by the person I bought the Iodoral from to take one pill a day for a week, 2 pills a day for the next week, etc., until I built up to 4 a day. I'm not willing to take that long to build up because I really need to start seeing some results. I guess the reason is that if you do have some of the serious side effects, it will be necessary to stop it completely and start over, so it's better to build up slowly. What I decided to do was take the loading dose of 4 and then back off and take 2 for 2 days, 3 for 3 days, then go to 4 if everything is going okay. I guess I could just keep building up till I get to 8! Along the way if I'm seeing results perhaps I could assume that I have reached a good dosage. Since I'm not seeing a doctor for it, I'm a little nervous about going for the higher dose right away. I did decide though that I shouldn't feel pressured by my surgeon appointment scheduled one month away. She can't make me do the surgery if I don't want to, and if the Iodine has had enough time to work then I'll just continue to wait no matter what she says. Guest guest
This is my thought on all this. You are dealing with cancer. I know I have been there. For me the sicker I got the more desperate I was to find an answer - ANYTHING! If I were in your shoes I would spend the $80 and get the loading test. I would also call the lab and explain your situation of facing surgery because the test itself takes 4-5 weeks to process and see if they can get it through faster. I would start taking Iodoral - minimum of 50 mgs. because after reading Dr Brownsteins book it appears that the NIS shut down when severely deficient and the only way to geth them "receiving" iodine into the cells again is to bombard them with lots of idoine. He states that it will take literally years to increase levels if you are very deficient. Of course this is what I would do - and did do when in your shoes. When I first started seeing him my cancer markers were rising. He put me on 50 mgs right away. He also added the buffered C powder to help with the free radicals - detoxing. Now I never had any detoxing symptoms but he did it to help my body from being damaged and I would recommend that as well. We watched my markers every month. He told me that if they went up again he was upping my Iodoral to 62.5 mgs and would keep doing it until they stopped moving up. Luckily we did not have to do that. What changes have happened? My saliva glands are working again, my fibrous masses in my rt breast are gone, my ovarian cyst is gone and my cancer markers are down 10 pts. I would also consider painting iodine on the side where your cancer was found to get some quick topical "ingestion". -----> As I understand that's exactlym what he advises breast cancerpatients to do. Guest guest
I have been to his site many times now and can not find where you order this test. I have googled for it but only get VRP labs and they say you need a referring physician. Am I missing something? I have been on Iodoral for several months now and sometimes my patch lasts for several hours but this week it was gone in a flash. I would like to do the test to establish where I really am. Guest guest
I had pretty much decided not to do the test, but it sounded to me in Dr. Brownstein's book like he doesn't think the test is necessary for breast cancer. It is a given that you need Iodine. I was going to try to find where I thought it said that so that I wouldn't be misquoting him, but now I can't find it. I feel certain that the test would show I need the Iodine, and I think the 50 mg would be a minimal dosage. Actually, now I think I'm just going to go ahead with the 50 mg a day and see what happens. I've already put my body through quite a lot, and it hasn't totally rebelled yet. I have been painting for awhile too. I figured I would keep painting because how quickly it is absorbed might give me a clue as to whether or not my dosage of Iodoral is enough. Guest guest
I can't find it either. I would just call his office and ask them if they still offer it. Guest guest
Do you have someone who could muscle test you? That might give you some direction on dosage.
