Guest guest
Hi Bob, My pulse is usually quite high - high 80s to low 90s. I am taking 3 Nutri Adrenal (as well as 6 Nutri Thyroid) a day and wondered if the NA was the reason for my high pulse. I wondered if either of the two products below would be able to help my adrenals - instead of the Nutri Adrenal - and help my pulse to come down. I am sorry that the following is so long - but I coppied it direct because I did not want to leave anything important out. B Description Magnolia Phellodendron ( Relora ) is an exciting new natural anti- anxiety stress relief ingredient to control stress related eating and drinking that has the added value of being non-sedating with potential anti-depressant properties. In clinical tests, 8 out of 10 people also experienced a good night's rest using this product. Magnolia extracts, apart from physically relaxing muscles and nerves, may help to eliminate excess cortisol from the body. Cortisol stimulates the pancreas to produce more insulin. Insulin deposits fats onto fat cells causing weight gain and cravings. Cortisol is directly linked to stress, insomnia, Syndrome X and numerous other concerns. Dosage One capsule three times daily. Contra Indication Notes Not suitable prior or during pregnancy., Not suitable for individuals taking sleeping pills or other mood modifying drugs. Key Ingredients A proprietary blend of standardized extracts of Magnolia offcinalis and Phellodendron amurense. AND Description Magnolia Rhodiola Complex is a natural anti-stress adaptogen formula that incorporates stress-lowering herbs with an amino acid working synergistically to stimulate calming factors in order to feel relaxed without drowsiness. After the unprecedented success of Relora, we have pioneered this new generation anti-stress formula combining the clinically tested effects of Relora, the stress-busting Rhodiola e and the calming L-Theanine culminating in a unique and powerful supplement. Relora is the result of a worldwide effort to screen more than one hundred traditional medicinal ingredients for the best possible natural product for stress and cortisol control. Some of the active compounds in Relora have been studied extensively for 25 years and the plants from which it is derived, magnolia officinalis and phellodendron amurense, have been used for centuries by many cultures to support the body and nurture wellbeing. Relora tackles the effects of stress head-on, enhancing mental, emotional and physical vitality and normalizing cortisol and DHEA levels. Rhodiola e increases tolerance to various stressors, i.e. mental, physical, and environmental, in part by beneficially modifying the stress response. This herb acts predominantly on the hypothalamus in a way that normalises the manner in which the body responds to stress triggers. Active compounds in this herb enhance the transportation of serotonin precursors (tryptophan and 5-HTP) into the brain. Rhodiola's active components are also shown to be powerful antioxidants, especially protective against lipid peroxidation and further research indicates that Rhodiola is particularly effective in aiding recovery after viral infection. L-Theanine is an amino acid, also found within green tea, which has been shown to promote deep muscle relaxation and improve sleep quality. Current research has focused on L-Theanine's effect on brain neurotransmitters and scientists believe that L-Theanine supports the balance of various neurotransmitters in the brain. In addition to promoting relaxation and stress reduction, it is believed that L- Theanine may support healthy and normal blood pressure levels. In laboratory studies, L-Theanine positively affected both the nervous system and the cardiovascular system. Dosage Two to three capsules daily on empty stomach or with food Contra Indication Notes Not suitable for individuals taking sleeping pills or other mood modifying drugs Key Ingredients Relora® (extracts from Magnolia Officinalis and Phellodendron Amurense), Rhodiola Roase, L-Theanine (Sunthearnie® Brand)
Guest guest
Hi , I've got insufficient knowledge of this other product (Relora) at the moment to be able to advise either way...but it looks interesting and the contents of the product look quite impressive for their individual properties, but I don't know how they work together. Use Wiki to look up the what the components of the product do. If you reduce the NA from 3 to 2 per day to find out if that reduces your pulse, you can do the basic science yourself. You can do the same (from 6 to 5) with the Nutri Thyroid on the following days and observe that effect on pulse rate. best wishes Bob in the meantime, I'll do some reading and see if I can add a reference or two > > Hi Bob, > [[... Guest guest
Hi , this a starting point for sources:- http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi? tool=pubmed & pubmedid=11082125 This study investigated the effect of magnolol, a compound purified from Magnolia officinalis, on glucocorticoid production by primary adrenal cell culture. Magnolol increased corticosterone secretion in a dose-dependent manner, this effect being maximal at 40ìM. A similar effect was seen in a minced adrenal gland system etc best wishes Bob > > Hi Bob, > > My pulse is usually quite high - high 80s to low 90s.
