I love salads too, but didn't eat much of them when I was in the

weight-loss phase. i found out what *very* poor nutrition lettuce

is, and decided to use my small pouch space to get in better stuff ,

including the protein and fiber i needed first. This usually requires

that 2 of 3 meals a day be of good protein an fiber. I just didn't

havge room for non-niutritional salads. R4eminede me too much of

previous diets, too., and the band is entirely different.

The first thing that will stall out weight loss is inadequate

protein. And the second thing (I found for me) is eating things like

salads instead of solid protein! Lettuce is mostly water, and does

not fill you up.

It's always your choice, though. If you're happy with your weight

loss, whatever you are doing is fine! If you're not happy, look for

things that can be improved. Protein is verey essential, though, if

you want to keep your health and not simply lose some weight

temporarily. Sandy RN

I agree. Better to eat things like cooked carrots or other veggies,

and forget the lettuce. The carrots have good fiber and few caloriws,

and are sweet without sugar or salad dressings. My nutritionist said

lettuce was useless as far as nutrition, protein, fiber, carbs, or

vits/minerals. I also found I was hungry 1/2 hrs after a salad,

since it goes right through and is mostly liquid. then i snacked, and

erased the low calories for the day. Much better choices than salads

for the Band, although I love them too. .

Shipping would be fairly high, I would imagine, as the salad dressing is

perishable and requires refridgeration. However, if you can find a way to ship

it, I'd spring for the purchase of several bottles.

Glad you had some fill out! You sounded definitely too tight! With a

good fill, there should be no trouble getting in the protein and

fiber we need. If one can't thqat's an importnat clue you are too

tight.

Having to rely on protein drinks was another big clue you were too

tight.

Your rapid weight regain/loss now is another sign you've been

dehydrated and calorie-deficient for a good while. It will even out

in a couple weeks, so just eat what you knoew are good band foods and

quantities, and do not worry about the scale for a couple weeks until

your body is recovered. You'll be aqble to get back on track soon.
