Guest guest
Hi Shelli, Welcome! Sounds like you are off to a good start with your loss. I'm a newbie too. Banded 4/5. I'm also happy with the results so far and still awaiting my much needed fill. They tell me next Tues. My goal is to not gain anything this week, since I'm hungry again and never mind the PMS! Guest guest
Nette, how can you say 15 lb is not a big loss for a month? Maybe not compared to what we can do with Phase 2, but for Phase 1, that is almost 4 lb a week! Congratulations! CC Intro... Guest guest
You know you're so right. 15 lbs just eating organics and drinking teas and no physical activity is pretty darn good weight. It did help with drinking water too. I never used to drink so much water during the day. I noticed that out of habit would just want to munch on something but when I would just drink a glass of water the feeling of wanting to eat something just went away. Well, tomorrow is day one for me and the beginning of a new me. I'm so excited that I can finally start with phase 2. Took me a while to be able to start the protocol but here I am now on my way to join the others and become a big loser too. LOL I'll be posting after my first loading day. Guest guest
Hi Nettie, Wow, 15lbs in phase 1 that's great! Your going to do awesome in phase 2. Obviously, you're really disciplined. Remember to really gorge works best by going to restaurants and eatting high cal foods. Its just easier to do out if you can so don't have to load up your house with food. I went to Cheesecake Factory, Fred's Shanty local snack shack for fried clams, onion rings, fries, choc shake, McD's, pizza, italian pastries, you name it I ate it. Although, its hard to eat I think its easier when you eat out. You will gain but it comes off quickly. If you look at Simeon's protocol he stressed that you have to do this to build up the fat stores. Have fun with it! Sharon > Hi everyone...I'm all set for phase 2...Will be starting Monday my day > off and what better day to gorge...I'm actually looking foward to the > two loading days. Guest guest
Thank you for the words of encouragement. I really tried my best to stick to eating only organics with nothing sweet other than the apple I have for snacks(when I remember to have my apple). How are you doing on phase 2 Sharon? I'm actually excited to be able to eat out and have all the high fat food once again. Nette > > Hi everyone...I'm all set for phase 2...Will be starting Monday my day > > off and what better day to gorge...I'm actually looking foward to the > > two loading days. Guest guest
Hello Nettie, Don't worry about eatting organic food on your gorge, two days won't hurt. I'm dong great on phase 2 down 20lbs and 13 inches in the first 13 days on the 500 cal diet. For some reason I didn't lose anything yesterday. Hopefully, that will change tomorrow am. I am very happy with phase 2 its amazing. I have a waist again! You're going to love it on phase 2. I find Sundays hard w/o an injection not sure if its true hunger or psychological. But whenever, I want to eat something I shouldn't I recite to myself, NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS THIN FEELS. Which keeps me on track. I did have one day off my diet last week on my anniversary and it so wasn't worth it I gained 2 lbs and didn't lose for 2 days. So please take my advice and don't go off for any reason. Its only 6 weeks after all! Have a nice night and happy gorging! Guest guest
Hey, Beth! Just start wading through the archives and ask questions whenever you feel like it. Several of us have been Vita-blending for MANY years (I think Peggy's the champ and I've been at it 21 or so), plus our list owner, Lea Ann, is a passionate demonstrator. You have the most recent model and can grind grains and pulses into flour in your smaller "dry" container. Reacquaint yourself with your DVD and the owner's manual in the cookbook and prepare to have some fun! should be especially helpful with allergy advice. Intro... Hi . My name is Beth. I have 2 children. My youngest (7 yrs) has just been diagnosed with a hoard of food allergies. We are wading through all the mess and I found myself lost in the grocery. After getting up and dusting us all off, I have gotten out my very under-used vitamix. I have a VM Super 5200. I don't know what that means exactly. It has 2 thingies for the top. I think the smaller one is for dry ingredients? (never used it). The larger one for wet. I have used the wet to make a few soups, salsa, hummus, etc. I don't use it nearly as much as I should. I got it a couple of years ago. We visited my grandpa in Florida and he had one and he would make smoothies everyday. My son loves smoothies so he sent us the vita-mix. Just looking for ways to make it more useful as we wade through our new limitations....
Guest guest
I'm so glad you found this list Beth - you are the exact type of person I always hope this list will help - the ones who have a VM, but are under-using it. And not only have you found a list to help you with your Vitamix, but you've found BRENDA - a wealth of information regarding allergies because I think she's allergic to just about everything LOL and JK. While I'm thinking about it - , could you post the link to your Allergies Group? I'd like to join so that I can share what I learn from your list with people I meet in my shows. Learn to shave on someone else's beard first--you'll find the learning curve is shallower if you go into this with book smarts. Intro...
Guest guest
I've never even owned a PC--my computers have always been Macs. Before my first one, a friend described them to me as being like "the smart kid in the class who doesn't have to be told anything more than once." One of my professors has been "a Mac guy since they had to be soldered at home" and my adviser came on board several years ago (both computer scientists). You can't go wrong but you might want to wait until after the first of the year to buy--the older models will go on sale and the newer model might be something you'd rather have. Re: Intro... I'll do that, and I need to also post a list to your Group on my website - it is such a pain to update that I procrastinate updating my website but I WILL do it - soon - I promise - soon ;-) BTW, I'm taking on an extra show (I wanted to take the rest of Oct. off, but my boss asked me to go to Atlanta to cover for a demonstrator who pulled a muscle in her lower back and has to be on 6-8 weeks of bed rest!!! I'm going to use the extra $$$ to get myself an iMac and it has a website editor that is killer - my new website is gonna ROCK - but it will probably be after Christmas before I actually learn the new software and get it all switched over... Guest guest
I highly recommend an ipad! I gave my Macbook to my brother after I bought my ipad. With the optional keyboard, it is a computer in it's own right, and with the aps available, I can do ALMOST everything (including video editing) on the ipad-plus super portable for travel! I am a Mac fan too, but do like my HP laptop. I have to use a lot of Windows based programs for my job, and I don't like running windows on the mac, so the combo of ipad and laptop works very well for me. I sometimes miss my Mac, but I manage well enough. That ipad is the bomb!! By far one of the best gadgets I have purchased to date! From: Lea Ann Savage <lsavage@...> Subject: Re: Intro... Date: Tuesday, October 12, 2010, 7:51 PM I'm so glad you found this list Beth - you are the exact type of person I always hope this list will help - the ones who have a VM, but are under-using it. Beth and perhaps others will be interested. If you reply in a new e-mail you can title your subject line something like 's Allergy Group so that it can be searchable in our archives.
