Find out ALL the information you can about your surgery and your surgeons. I

had my surgery done by Northwest Weight Loss Surgery for 17,200 AND this

includes my follow up visits AND my fills for one year. During my research, I

found someone else in Kirkland who could do it for a higher price, but who

hadn't

actually done ANY Lapbands as of early August. Ask how many Lapbands your

surgeon has placed when shopping around. Ask about support groups, follow up

visits, anticipated fees in case of an " emergency " . The price I told you above

paid for the surgeon and all of his (and his partner's services), consultation

with the nurse practitioner and surgeon, as well as anesthesiology and

operating room fees. You're on the right step to doing your homework!

Surgery center..$9000

plus the cost of seeing a phycritrist...$200

plus the cost of sleep study(if you have any sign of apnea)

Sleep study, if ordered by your personal md, will be covered by insurance.

Like you, I was also a sef-pay patient. The cost at NWWLS is fixed

at $17,200 if you do it on an outpatient basis, like I did (it would

cost more if you stayed overnight in the hospital, but I can't tell

you how much more). That fee covers use of the surgical center fee,

anesthesia, the doctors fee, and - best of all - all of your fills

for the first year. There is also an additional $200 charge for an

interview with the psychologist they retain to make sure you are

mentally and emotionally ready to do this.
