I put 5 drops of Lugol's in about 3 ounces of water. I use about 1/3

of the solution to squish around my teeth and gum, and gargle. I

spit it out & repeat with the next 1/3. I also lightly brush the

dilute Lugol's on sore or tender areas. After spitting that out, I

add another ounce of water to the dilute Lugol's in the glass, and

swallow it.

I used to get pusy painful gum infections, many times a year for over

a decade. No money to throw many thousands of dollars at a dentist,

so I figured out how to deal with them myself at home.

Before I started using Lugol's I added a few drops of Tea Tree Oil to

an herbal mouthwash. It tasted real nasty but it numbed my sore

gums so I could scrub them with my toothbrush to open up the

infections, so they could heal. The healing process would take a

week or longer.

Now that I use Lugol's daily, I rarely get any infections, and if I do

get any, they are just tender spots rather than swollen pusy lumps.

I have dreadful teeth from many years of bad eating habits (lots of

sugar). I have been eating well for 5 years now. I am 63.

Yes. Lugol's stains my teeth, but that does not bother me. Having a

mouth full of jagged half-teeth isn't going to look pretty whether

they my teeth are white or stained. I drink lots of vitamin C

several times a day, so the stains aren't too dark.
