Guest guest
Hi all, For those of you that are better at reading and understanding the more technical information...(my brain fog has not lifted yet)... I've been Iodoral for a week at 1/day. I'm now going to 1.5 per day. EVERYDAY I get what I think are described as " frontal sinus headaches " . I've plenty of migraines in my day, and these are different. It almost makes me dizzy. They come every time about 3-4 hours after the morning pill. I believe this is when the first peak occurs (don't know the technical name of what I'm trying to describe so I hope you get it). I'm scared to go higher because I have a 13 month old, and I need to be able to function. Do you think this is a temporary detox thing? Any suggestions how to endure it? Hold off on dose increase? Second, I've not been tested for thryoid antibodies, but have been tested enough to know I have hypothyroidism. I've read mixed opinions on whether or not this will create a problem if I do have them. Any other thoughts on this? I also want to throw in my big hug and THANK YOU to Zoe and all the rest. It's so great to have this forum. I'm sure we'll come up with some pretty amazing conclusions as time goes by. Thanks. W
Guest guest
Thanks for the hug! Personally, if I were getting the "frontal sinus headaches," I would not increase the Iodoral. If they were more than mild, I might even reduce it. I would also be sure I was getting a 1/2 teaspoon of unrefined salt each day. once asked Dr. Abraham about frontal headaches, and she reports this conversation as follows: "Dr. Abraham's feeling is that [frontal headaches] are caused by sinus pressure, as the Iodine is liquifying the stuck mucus in the sinuses and getting it ready to drain. He mentioned that a runny nose was a possibility too in connection with this. His suggestion was to increase fluids and cut way back on or eliminate dairy products because they increase mucus production. Dr. Abraham, who I consider to be a genius, told me that this effect should last no more than a week or so." http://www.quackcenter.com/iodoralresults.html] Zoe Iodoral Headaches? / Thyroid Antibodies Hi all,For those of you that are better at reading and understanding the more technical information...(my brain fog has not lifted yet)...I've been Iodoral for a week at 1/day. Guest guest
Hi Liza, From what I understand, brain fog can be caused by different things. In my experience, I had brain fog with candida, parasites and dental infections. I am trying to figure out if my infections are causing the thyroid condition or the other way around but I am addressing both of them, which is controlling the brain fog more than just one or the other.
