Comes across as a very petchulant, footstamping piece of poorly

justified writing. God forbid they should have some patients not behave

according to what is written on the box!!! If sythetic thryoid hormones

are soooooo flippin great and if all endos are soooooooo highly trained

in both thyroid AND diabetes (coz my local hospital has an entire

endocrinology building - stating underneath specialists for

diabetes!!!) why do we have groups like this? I reckon its coz diabetes

kills you quickly whereas hypothyroid just makes you feel like you want

to die after you have been left under medicated.

I would get cross but its such a poorly written article I just find it

laughable!

Hi Dawn

It's interesting that there is no criticism of the overdosing of

synthetic thyroid hormone (thyroxine /T4); argument adduced to damn

dessicated thyroid is equally valid against the synthetics.

Yes Bob and Eli I agree, apparently he this is a very well known

organisation well praised by many conventional docs (allegedly),

terrible biased badly researched 'journalism' if you ask me. Yes it is

laughable I suppose Eli.

Well the doctor receives emails and pretends to be fair by putting

them on the response area of the site, however he trims most of them

and and adds a comment at the top of the emails, he also seems to

print mostly the ones with bad spelling and expletives. I am assuming

that is to make it look as though all those disagreeing are gullable,

uneducated fools.

You are in a profession founded on quackery yourself.

Siggy `tell me about your mother' Freud who thought everyone was

sexually frustrated. Jung who got many of his practices channelled to

him by a `familiar spirit'. What a foundation they were and what a

useless legacy they left. I have never met anyone who was `cured' by a

psychiatrist. I was doomed to years on drugs by Drs in the psychiatric

profession. If only they had noticed I was thyrotoxic at the time I

could have had years of decent quality of life, instead I had to wait

until the gland went underactive and I had virtually no eyebrows,

hair, and such a low body temperature I looked and felt like a corpse

before anyone noticed there was a real physiological problem going on

(and that was only after numerous visits telling them I was sleeping

for days, and it was only picked up by a locum Dr. (God bless her).

There are some wonderful doctors, but there are also the ones who

think they know everything (The God Complex) but have not really done

the necessary research on the subjects they are criticising. I believe

you fit the latter criteria.

Open your heart to people's suffering, there wouldn't be such a big

market for these alternatives if allopathic medicine hadn't just

become a money making scam for insurance and enormous pharmaceutical

companies. Not all those you have criticised are quacks; you are a

very biased `reporter'. Armour thyroid hormones revived me from a

state where I was diagnosed with CFS and FM on T4 because it did not

work for me, there is nothing wrong with it, the pharmaceutical

companies just peddled their new synthetic T4 to the doctors and they

swallowed the tale that it was just as good. If you are going to

expose quacks, do so, but from what I have read you are critiquing

anyone who does not have your narrow view of things.

Your patients are probably too drugged up or dead from suicide to

complain and the surgeons and physicians also bury their mistakes,

some of them need to put the Barbers shop pole back outside their

practices. WAKE UP!
