It appears to be working on atleast muscle soreness. I put some on my shoulders and within 30 min itwas like my whole body just sighed and relaxed. It did sting for a minor two. So far I like it. The manufacture states that after using itfor 6 weeks or so our bodies will then be able to better assimilateoral forms of magnesium. The next night I put some on my back, legs and arms and feet. It wasthe best night sleep I have had in ages and I did not wake up feelingstiff like I sometimes do.A small ammount of this stuff goes a long way. I think It took abouta quarter size to do the whole body treatment and about a dime size tojust do the back. So far it is a success. My partner's anxiety also disappeared when he uses it. So it isdoing something good there too. We are working on a natural way toheal his bi polar.

I got my information from this site

http://www.magnesiumforlife.com/productinformation.shtml

I ended up buying their brand Essence of Life. I did not buy it from

their site. I found a distributor on ebay that was selling it for

18.00 instead of the 22.00 that the main site was charging.

The seller was closer to me than the main site also( I think) and I

got my gel in about 2 days.

If you do a search on ebay for magnesium gel it should pop up.

I did alot of research on Magnesium and assimulation. This was the

best way I could find without getting stuck with a needle.

I also found this great article:

http://web.mit.edu/london/www/magnesium.html

It really helped me shed some light on magnesium.

Hope that helps,

By Liquid do you mean as a supplement? Well if that is the case, from

the research I have done most Magnesium supplements are not that well

absorbed by the body. They are also for the most part not slowly

released into the body. If you " dump " alot of magnesium into the

system you get diarreah pretty quickly. So that means you are really

not getting any benefit from it. Many of the forms available are hard

to absorb or get dumped too quickly.

I choose the gel because Transdermal would get into the system

slowly and also avoid any of the diarreah reactions.

Hope that helps,

I am also trying some of the magnesium oil

(spray) but haven’t noticed much difference. Dh

used it for some back pain and seemed to get some relief. As far as oral goes I lean heavily

toward magnesium orotate. Dr. Hans

Nieper of Germany

did a lot of studies about using orotates and used them with his patients quiet

successfully. I also recommend

Calcium Orotate (contains also magnesium orotate) as it seems to be the most

useable form of calcium for the body.

Of course, this is a subject that poses a lot of differing opinions. I have had clients with a supposedly diagnosis

of osteoporosis use calcium orotate quite successfully. Please also know that they also worked

on the whole body with healthy diet, exercise, good supplementation, water,

etc. I don’t want to give the

impression that calcium orotate is a magic bullet for osteoporosis.

Hi , Just wondering...I have started taking magnesium glycinate

600 mg. I was told that it does not cause any diarrhea and that is

what I have found. Do you know how absorbable it is? I also take 500

mg of MgC at night. Nonetheless I still have very tight muscles.

Does the magnesium gel work better than just taking baths of epsom

salts?

Thanks for all the information you have on magnesium. Very helpful.

I bought the gel and the oil when someone here mentioned it last month. I was

hoping to use the oil directly on my facial skin but it stings and my skin

reacts. It is actually not an oil base but a sea water trace mineral base and

it is a bit hard on my skin. I will use it in my bath water and the gel (also

sea water minerals) I will use occasionally on my skin but for everyday it just

is too harsh for my skin. I even tried it in my hair for styling...big

mistake... I could not get a comb through it :-).

Thanks for the heads up on this . I was going to order some and

am glad now that I didn't get around to it. Do Epsom salt baths help

boost magnesium levels? Ann

I ordered the gel and got it yesterday. I slathered it all over my body and

it did not bother me at all. The literature that came with says the gel is

much easier to use than the oil which can sting, but I did not have anything

like that when I applied the gel.

I love the gel. The bottle says that if it does cause stinging just

dilute it a bit. That happend to me the first few times I tried it so

I watered it down and no problems. I can now use it full stregnth and

I am Still loving it.

The " oil " I have not tried. I do know that it can also be diluted

and used in bath water. I Use my gel daily.

I got my gel yesterday. It did cause a bit of stinging on me but

nothing that would prevent me from using it.

I have been taking epsom salt baths, about 3 a week, for more than 1

month and when I started those I would get a little stinging in

sensitive places. But that went away after a few weeks, so I'm hoping

the gel stinging will go away eventually too.

The bottle said to apply moist heat for 20 minutes to incease

absorption - when I did that the stinging was much less, possibly

because that is " adding water " like they suggest if you have a

problem.

I wish I knew how much gets absorbed from the gel and epsom salts, but

since I don't I like the idea of not having all my magnesium eggs in

one basket.

Ok, I will dilute it and try again. Anyone trying to come up with novel

magnesium solutions deserves to be supported. I'll give it another try and let

you know. Yes epsom salt will boost levels... lin Delano Roosevelt use to

own a magnesium spa for Polio victims. The magnesium was absorbed through the

skin and into the muscles and allowed their bent legs to straighten so they

could stand in the water... everyone thought it was miracle water.

Speaking of miracle water. Spend a minute and read the transcript of this

story that ran on ABC Australia. Hint: it's the magnesium.

Hi Sharon, I tried searching on Ebay for Magnesium Gel and didn't find it. Do you have a direct link to your source? Love, Pamelasharflin <sharflin@...> wrote: Hi Pamela, I got it on Ebay like a previous poster recommended.

Certainly. You might have missed it because it is in an ebay store, listed right below the auctions when you do the search.

Thanks, Sharon. I've added it to the Magnesium links so people can find it next time. I didn't even realize it was possible to have a direct link to an eBay store. Zoe
