Thank you that helped clarify so I can choose which one I got the salt your way to health for $20. I was looking for a much less expensive used one but saw none available. Anyone have a source? I tried Amazon and and Noble.

Dr. Brownstein's Books

Hi all, I'm looking at Dr. Brownsteins books and am interested in the iodine one and the thyroid disorder one... can anyone make a recommendation between the two as to which is the most comprehensive? Are they similar?

Thanks,

Cheryl

There aren't any used ones to be had. You are best off to order right from his website - www.drbrownstein.com

Great thanks! His site lists them for $15 instead of $20 at Amazon.

He doesn't sell on Amazon. That must be another supplier. He only sells in his office and on his website.

Does anyone have Dr. Brownstein's books that would like to sell them? I have checked with and Nobles, they can't get them, said out of print. Thought maybe I could save some money (especially right now) and buy them used. ThanksDeb

Thanks for the plug Deb and you are right. Most of the questions can be answered in the books.

I don't think that hair tests are good measures of iodine status.

Dr. Brownstein's books

With my last salt order I included 4 of the dr.'s books...the iodine, salt, hormone, and thyroid books. All I can say is that they are SO worth the price. If anyone is hesitating to order them and has the funds I would order them. They answer many questions that appear on this forum over and over. I've only just started the iodine book, but have scanned the others. They will be a great addition to my health library. Aside from commenting on the books I have one question. Does anyone know if low iodine on a hair sample is a valid way to evaluate iodine status. I was looking through some old labs and had a hair analysis done several years ago and it showed iodine to be low. Deb
