Guest guest
Yes I have. My doctor is Dr Brownstein. I had PCOS when I went to see him last February ('06). My main reason for visiting him was a thyroid cancer dx. He put me on 50 mgs of Iodoral. I had a large cyst on my right ovary - so big that my ND could feel it in my abdominal area. In October I had a large amount of pain in my ovary area so we decided to do an U/S. The U/S showed that my ovaries were completely clear. Dr. B started me on 75 mgs of Iodoral and it cleared up the pain of ovulation. I was on this dose for 3 mos and then was taken back down in December. I do not suffer from painful ovulation or cysts anymore. I'm curious--has anyone in this group found success using iodine for polycystic ovarian syndrome? I've read articles by Brownstein and Abraham and Flecha--but would like to hear testimonies. That would be quite an encouragement to me! Guest guest
Wow--that is so encouraging! I am really amazed. How quickly did you increase your iodine intake? Did you start at 50 mgs? Thanks! Guest guest
Yes we started at 50 mgs to try to get my cancer markers down and they did come down 10 pts. I also had 3 fibrous masses in my rt breast and they are all gone too. Steph Re: Iodine for PCOS Wow--that is so encouraging! I am really amazed. How quickly did you increase your iodine intake?
