Guest guest
We are looking to purchase an infrared sauna. Does anyone here use one and have you had to increase your iodine specifically while using one.? How about other minerals? Would you use your normal supplemental amounts? I used one a neighbor has last summer for about 30 minutes daily. In August I had one of the worst cases of fibrocystic breast flareups yet. I'm guessing the sauna sweating contributed to a lower iodine level. But it wasn't the only thing as I also was back on a small dose of armour thyroid and had cut my iodine levels down to around 12 mgs of iodine. I'm back up to 35-50mgs now and don't use any thyroid. So far no problems. I've no idea how much if any the sweating depleted my iodine. You can google and find references to iodine in the sweat though.
