Guest guest
Hi, I'm sure others will pipe in here, but thought I could tell you my experience and what I (think) I know .. I began on 50mgs of Iodoral approximately a year and a half ago. I did (at first) experience the frontal (sinus type) of headaches. It was something that I worked through. I personally don't call this an "allergic" reaction. I believe that this is considered a detoxing effect from the Iodoral. Hopefully if your doctor has prescribed the Iodoral, he/she has also "prescribed" a "detoxing" program that you should be on and also a full mineral/vitamin supplement program that is tailored to your personal needs .. ? I have also experienced the very deep cystic acne. I have discovered that if I stay on top of my detoxing regimen, that this stays very minimal. Again, the acne is not considered an "allergic" reaction. At least not that I am aware of. The acne is a result of the Iodoral detoxing your body. The acne is/was usually on my face, but I have had it on my shoulders and even on my legs .. at times. (I know, strange.) I have never tried Lugol's. Hopefully others will pipe in here. Did the acne go away when you stopped taking the Iodoral? What can be taken instead of Iodoral? Will Lugol's also cause the frontal headache and/or the acne? Thanks, everyone... Guest guest
yes I had a lot a lot of symptoms for 3 months straight. I was already taking cortef and enough Armour and I think that helped too. When I tried to decrease Iodoral from 50mg to 12.5mg after 3 months, I really was ill, almost nonfunctional! I went right back to 50mg/day---I am sure I was extremely deficient. I like Iodoral and the pills are easy to take at work.
