Guest guest
HI Angie So pleased you are being referred to an endocrinologist. What we advise members to do is - if you have found an endocrinologist that you feel you can trust, to make sure that the outpatients clinic nurse writes on your medical notes that you do not wish to see anybody but that particular endocrinologist. That way, they will only give you an appointment when s/he is doing a clinic. I don't know of Dr Skelly apart from the fact that he works in Essex - he will know Dr Bodmer (Endocrinologist) who, although I am told he has not a particularly good bedside manner, does prescribe Armour if a patient is adamant that s/he needs it. I have no idea whether any of this will have rubbed off onto Dr Skelly. You will have to wait and see. Luv - Sheila Have been to see my doctor today and she says the lump on my thyroidis not cancerous because of my blood test would have shown it up,great news I hope this is the case but I feel better knowing this. She is also refering me to an endo one that looks at the whole picturenot just number crunches, his name is Rob Skelley, anyone know him? Well she says she hopes I will see him and I said, 'dont I have Iright to see who I would like' and she agreed I should ask whenappointment comes through but she cant specificaly ask for himalthough she will try. He will then take closer look at lump and meas a whole, but if that all draws blank she is willing to trial me onthyroxine! She has been very supportive but I have to say I had a good idea whatto say to her and how to keep pushing and that is down to this forumand all the friendly advice on it, you can certainly go armed withcome backs!thank you everyone you are all doing a brilliant job.Angie No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG Free Edition.
