I would think that bile could also be part of this equation (just lent my book to my mother so can't relook at that one) Myer's did not use potassium iodine with his patients but rather zinc, magnesium or calcium forms of iodates. Now I'm wondering if prehaps he's onto something and the amount of potassium combined with the iodine might be a problem. I asked Jerry Brunnetti about this and he said he did think the potassium could be a problem. He didn't know more about it though.
