Hi Suzanne,

Why aren't you listening to your own intuition? Lots of people have

been able to reduce the amount of thyroid hormone they need when

taking Iodoral. Dr. Brownstein in his book about Iodine says to cut

back on the thyroid hormone if you feel hyper on Iodoral....what more

do you need. You are taking meds to relieve the symptoms but not the

cause. Listen to your own wisdom!

See my thyroid adrenal website for a link to Dr. Brownstein's book

Iodine....

-Thanks for the confidence in my intuition, I did reduce the thyroid

meds by another 1/2 grain, I also took a day off of all meds. I do

feel better. I am thinking what if all along all I needed was iodine

to help my thyroid. I have been on the thyroid meds roller coaster

for years.

My Mom had thyroid problems in the 1940's right before I was born. I

remember her saying the doctors gave her " the iodine treatment " I

also remember as a child her saying she thought I was iodine

deficient, I was definitely addicted to salt (what does that have

to do with it?)

Most of my more serious thyroid problems began when I stopped using

iodized salt and switched to kosher salt years ago. Maybe a

coincidence.

It never occurred to me that iodine deficiency could cause profound

hypothyroidism. I have never liked how I feel on any thyroid meds,

armour thyroid,synthroid,cytomel you name it.

I would love to not have to take any of this, it is possible I have

read.

I will trust my body and my symptoms more, I am still only taking

1/2 Iodoral with the lowered dose of armour thyroid, I still have

some hyper symptoms, not as bad. Next week I will increase the

Iodoral by a

half, see what happens.
