iodine and nebulizer

How many drops of iodine did you put in your

'inhaler', if you can recall? This sounds like a

wonderful idea and won't clog your nebulizer.

Did you use Lugol's-the strong stuff that is now

illegal without prescription, or was it something

else? And how much water too?? Sorry for so

many questions, but this is very interesting and

I can hardly wait to try it. And since you had

such good results, I want to reproduce what you

did as closely as possible. Thanks in advance,

pj

I'm not sure which email you were replying to, but

if it was mine ... I didn't use a nebulizer. I used

a nose spray bottle, as in " Ocean " nose spray,

which is just salt water. Then added a couple

of drops of povidone iodine (Lugol's might be

better, but povidone is what I had). Then I just used

it as a nose spray once or twice a week, or when

one of my chronic infection type things starts

happening. Just don't use so much iodine it

stings. It doesn't seem to take much iodine

to be effective though.

A doc I know is now prescribing a similar

spray, only instead of iodine he uses a topical

antiseptic. He thought iodine might work well

too. I like the idea of iodine because the mucous

tissues need iodine, they store it, I think I read.
