Guest guest
I feel so much better on 50mg Iodoral than on none or on one. Guest guest
, I followed the instructions that come with the test. Namely, to stop all iodine for 48 hours before the test. Then, after urination, take 50 mg Iodoral (that they supply) and collect the urine for the next 24 hours. I was careful to stop all iodine, including my multivitamin, seaweed, dairy, and fish. Zoe Were you still taking your Iodoral when you took the test or did you take abreak before? If you were still taking the Iodoral, how many milligrams didyou end up taking the day the of the urine collection? I wonder how he will explain the poor saturation results. That is lower thanwhen I started mega-dosing. I am starting the test tomorrow. I stopped alliodine for a week now.
Guest guest
Was this a self-test? Or is it ordered by a doctor? Guest guest
, I ordered the test myself from Flechas. I got just the plain test for $80. Flechas - Iodine Loading Test Source for Iodine Loading Test. $80. Spot test = $30. Total = $110. FFP Laboratories. ville, NC. 887-900-5556 http://www.helpmythyroid.com/iodine.htm I am curious about the new test by Doctor's Data. If anyone orders it, let us know how it goes. The VRP test goes to Flechas. There is a lot of information on the iodine-loading test in our links, including how to order: iodine/links/Iodine_Tests_001138147893/Iodine_Loading_Tests_001138213520/ Zoe Was this a self-test? Guest guest
, when you get your results back, understand them as best you can, and then post your results and ask us about anything you don't understand. Yes, the telephone consult with Flechas is included if you ask for it. I had to call his office when I was ordering my test and they sent me a questionnaire to fill out before they would send me the kit. If you haven't received a questionnaire, call the number you have and ask them about the consult with Flechas before you take your loading test. Zoe I am a member in Michigan. I have this kit from FFP Labs. Planning on doing it in the next day or two. They said they are 5 weeks behind. You mentioned the report is difficult to decipher. Any suggestions on how to read it? You mention you were going to call Flechas. Is that part of the cost? Thanks for your input. Michigan
Guest guest
That seems to be the question of the hour. I have read that lower doses will make it take longer to get saturated and thus starving your body for a longer period of a critical nutrient. Others (like Dr. say that in many cases you need to bombard the cells with lots of iodine / iodide to make the receptors open up and take it in. I am wondering if this is in severe cases as mine was. Had you supplemented prior to taking the loading test? I wonder if I even need to take 50 mg a day to reach full saturation, since I wasn't that far off in teh first place.Congrats on bringing your numbers up, Steph. I'm glad you're doing so much better.AmyMessages in this topic (21) Reply (via web post) | Start a new topic ..
