Guest guest
Hi , I must have ten extra battery holders. Someone may have " borrowed " them from your kit before you got it. I just found out I was supposed to get an audio cable and a TV cable with my first processor back in 2005. Evidently they were taken or the manufactured messed up as they were missing. When I got my new CI back in April it was obvious someone had gone through my kit before I got it as several of the seals were broken. The kit had one black processor and one blue processor when I asked for everything to be black. My audi sent the blue one back to Cochlear and now I have two black processors. Guest guest
Jim, Cochlear changes what is packaged. You should have gotten an invoice listing what you were to get and if they owe you they better cough it up. LOL 10 extra battery cages?!? I had to buy an extra one which comes in handy when I load the spare cage with fresh batteries, ready to swap. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* When I erase a word with a pencil, where does it go? & Dreamer Doll ke7nwn E-mail- rclark0276@... Guest guest
Hi , I don't think Cochlear will cough up what I was supposed to get three and a half years ago. if you load a second battery cage with fresh batteries aren't you prematurely breaking the battery air seal. It would seem that would decrease the amount of time the batteries would last once you do put them into the processor? When you erase a word with a pencil doesn't it usually go into the trash can? Guest guest
Jim, Try it. If you have a pretty accurate idea of how long your batteries last, then take a set of 3 and pop the seals off them. Put them aside somewhere for a week or three, even a month. Then swap them in and see how long they last. Probably wont notice much loss. I load the space cage 2-3 days before I expect the batteries in use to go flat. Erased words go into the virtual trash can, yes. Guest guest
Jim, I have heard of some people not receiving the same accessories in their CI kit. Some people received extra battery cages while others like myself did not. The same is true for audio cables.
Guest guest
Hi , That is what I thought, but my audi said I should have received the audio cable and TV cable in 2005.
