Guest guest Posted February 16, 2009 Report Share Posted February 16, 2009 I had my appointment with Dr. Niparko at s Hopkins this morning, and I am sky-high right now. What a wonderful man! He does not see my smaller-than-usual mastoid as a problem; the operation may take a little longer and he may have to close off the ear canal and use some of that space. I won't have any other use for the ear canal after the surgery anyway, so no problem! We discussed hardware, and settled on the Advanced Bionics unit. I go back to see a Hopkins audiologist tomorrow morning (they had a cancellation and I jumped on it, rather than wait until next week!). I will keep you all posted!
