Guest guest
ok...from what I've read, I believe that in so far as Medicare goes, it is a state-by-state thing. So, I'm wondering if anyone from Texas has had a CI and if Medicare paid (and what percentage if they did). Reason for my inquiry is that my twin brother (1 week shy of 68 yrs) won't even think of surgery because of the cost. I'm in hopes that Medicare would help him afford it. It took me forever to convince him to get hearing aides - so, who knows on an actual surgery! I just want him to know if Medicare will help so he can't use that for an excuse....and knowledge that it is (or isn't) an option for him. So, Texans....are you out there to help answer my question? Thanks! Guest guest
Hi Evon, MEDICARE is Federally funded, and works the same way no matter which state you live in. MEDICAID is state funded, and will vary from state to state. So anything done with MedicAID can vary depending on where you live. MediCARE will be the same no matter where you live. ok...from what I've read, I believe that in so far as Medicare goes, it is a state-by-state thing.
