" Does Medicare actually cover cochlear implants and accessories for

people under 65? "

Yes, one implant. And accessories. And batteries, disposables and

rechargeables.

I know Medicare does not cover hearing aids. Does Medicare actually cover

cochlear implants and accessories for people under 65?

Meducare does not look at their claims right away, if ever They process

a billion claims yearly. I dont see anything in the guidelines that says

batteries of any kind for cochlear implants are not covered. I sure would

not hesitate to order new ones if needed.

Got a little more than 2 10 pack boxes left, then will order one box and

use the rechargeables all the time.

I bought some powdered water, but I don't know what to add to it.

Gerald,

I receive Medicare due to blindness and they cover 80% of costs related to my

CIs. Medicare is designed for people with disabilities as well as those aged 65

and older.
