Thanks Marta! :)

Yeah, I was out of the hospital in two days and I really should have

stayed at least one more day. But, Aetna is threatening not to pay

for the hospital stay so I didn't dare stay any longer.

Jeanine, thanks.

Yes, I have three lye pitchers I mix ahead of time. I will probably make

three batches of soap tomrow. I could have today but I ended up tinkering

with mineral makeup instead.

Shaye

Welcome back

Welcome home Shaye. Hope all went well with your trip. Always sad

when an era is over.

You mentioned mixing lye water. Do you mix ahead of time, in

quantity?

How's that working, Shaye? I recently got a kit, but haven't had time to

play with it yet. It's actually overwhelming, but probably once I start, I'll

do all right.

,

I bought a kit from _www.sweetscents.com_ (http://www.sweetscents.com) . I

haven't had time to use it yet, though! I'll get to it soon. :-) I think

it's going to be a lot of fun, and many people like mineral makeup.

Hi LIsa-

I'm glad to have you back to the ci hear group. I'm sorry to hear that you have

had additional physical challenges but glad that a true diagnosis of bipolar

disorder has been made and that your new medication is helping. I have a 25

year old nephew with bipolar diagnosis and who has had challenges with that.

You are in my prayers that this new Dr. and new medication truly make a change

for the better in your quality of life. I admire your resilience and

perseverance in the face of additional challenges.

I think that it is wonderful that you have allowed this group to give you

additional support. Although this is a cochlear implant related group, it is

always good to give support for other issues as all of the challenges we face

are connected and are a part of our lives. By mentioning your difficulties, who

knows who you will also help who is struggling with an additional challenge that

at times interferes with their cochlear implant abilities or skills or who

suffers from depression as a result. We can learn from each other.

I wish I could help with your bilateral frequencies in music question. I vaguely

remember that there is a musicians with hearing loss group who have members who

have cochlear implants. I will see if I can find more information on that.

I am newly bilateral as I was activated to my second ear last month. This long

deafened ear is acting more like a pre-lingually deaf ear and upon activation

" felt " rather than heard sound. It is improving slowly and I " m working hard at

providing it lots of auditory stimulation daily to help " wake up " this new ear.

I'm not discouraged but rather hopeful and thankful that this ear has this

opportunity to see how it will will do with a cochlear implant over time. This

is just going to take time and I'm up to this challenge.

I wish you well. I look forward to seeing your posts on ci hear!

with " buzzy " double cochlear implant joy,

Margo
