I sent Kara an e-mail 2 days ago, but still have not heard from her. I know

she's probably very busy, but should I call Cochlear and ask them if they can

sign me back up for the Volunteer Advocate Program? I still know the name of the

person who recommended me, so I can give them that information if they need it.

 - I'm also a volunteer, but since Mc went to Europe last fall,

she has not been in contact with me.  Of course, I was really busy at the time,

so I didn't and still haven't pursued trying to figure out what is going on.  My

guess is contact Cochlear Americas because you should still be a volunteer...I

don't think they drop you, do they?  Or, on the other hand, maybe I somehow got

dropped???  Who knows......

If you do find anything out, could you please let me know?  I don't know if

North Dakota is in the same territory as Wisconsin or not...

I'll call Cochlear tomorrow and find out. I don't see why they would drop me as

a volunteer except for not keeping my e-mail address up to date, but I'll find

out what they have to say and let you know.

and - the volunteer Website will be back up and running Feb

sometimes. They are removing the VIP system and doing something else in

it's place.

- there is a new system and the volunteers now get their " memos "

thru the Cochlear Community website. So your manager will need to

confirm you as a volunteer.

You can go to www.cochlearcommunity.com and sign up. If you have any

problems feel free to contact me off list and I'll be happy to help

you. Hope all will go well.

- have you checks on Cochlear Community? That's where all the

Memos are going now. You should be getting email nocies that there's

mail for you then need to sign it if not email me off list or contact

the site administrator.

Kitty,

I just registered on Cochlear Community.

How will Kara notify me that I am indeed a volunteer (or whatever they are

called under the new program)?

By the way, I had some difficulty with the website under the question that asked

the cause of my hearing loss. Nothing listed applied to me with the exception of

chronic otitis and medication, so I chose medication.

I just finished reading some of the messages posted on the Cochlear Community

website and noticed a post which said Kara joined CANWisconsin.

Kitty, do you know if Cochlear is changing CAN into something completely

different? I want to make sure I understand what you mean when you said changes

will be made to the Volunteer Advocate Program.

Also, does anyone know if the other Cochlear e-mail list is still running? I

believe it was called the Nucleus Forum.

Hi -

Smile, is she on you friend's list? If she is, than she is your

manager. See if you can join CAN Wisconsin if you canm then they have

you listed as a volunteer. I'm in the CAN Illinois one.

Yes, the Nucelus Forum is still up and running. Smile.

CAN is still Cochlear Awareness Network. We are just putting " Cochlear

Volunteer " next to our name on the CC instead of " Cochlaer Awareness

Network Advocate. "

Hey guys - Kitty - yes, I am receiving notices of mail on the Cochlear Community

and I've joined several groups.  However, I do not see a group for Minnesota's

CAN - and of course, I don't know where ND would fit in.  As far as I know I'm

the only volunteer from ND.

Kitty,

I checked the Cochlear Community website and Kara is indeed my regional manager.

I also looked on Cochlear's website for the subscription information for the

Nucleus Forum, but can't find it.
