cost of implant surgery

I am a bit lost in this thread, but I had to comment

when I saw someone wrote that the implant surgery

usually costs between 30 and 60K per ear.

First, just seeing such a range of cost posted points

out, I believe, how the figures vary widely based on a

number of factors. One important factor is the billed

rate from the hospital versus the actual rate that the

hospital gets paid. I don't remember the exact numbers

in my case, but I recall the initial bill that went to

my insurer from the hospital was in the ballpark of

108K. However, they received and accepted payment in

full to the tune of 60-odd thousand.

Just thought I'd add that to the discussion.
