Excerpt of a letter from Cochlear Americas to a clinic audiologist:

Obsolescence - we are approaching the final phase of the product life cycle

for the Esprit 3G and the Sprint sound processors. We are officially

announcing obsolescence for these processors effective immediately but will

continue service and support of these processors until June 30, 2010.

Whether this applies to other regions or not is unknown to this writer.
