Guest guest
Hi Carol- There has to be some kind of logical explanation as to why medicare ci recipients would not be eligible for the discount. You have to remember that the letter that posted was one that was designed to go to professionals(ci centers, etc) and those people would probably already have a better knowledge of the nuances of medicare and cochlear implants. It might even have something to do with the way medicare is set up and how Cochlear is required to handle situations when a product is declared obsolete. I don't know. So, the best place to ask about medicare and the whole obsolete the 3G and sprint issue is to call or email Cochlear. If you call Cochlear(1-800-483-3123) or Cochlear reimbursement, which I think handles medicare(1-800-633-4667) I would think that you would get more information on this issue. NO sense worrying or wondering if you can go to the source. I would hope that when ci recipients get the letter from Cochlear that further explanations would be offered but why wait and worry when you can ask Cochlear now. with double ci joy, Margo
