re: sign language play groups

Hi,

I don't know of any groups in Illinois. There is a discussion forum on the

signing time website www.signingtime.com and there are play groups posted for

lots of different states and areas listed there. They also give information on

how to start your own group. We started our group by going to local places like

the ymca, the zoo, and neighborhood playgrounds where it was free or we could

talk them into letting us in for almost free.

It's really great for the kids to feel like they are part of a community. If you

have a local deaf club or school for the deaf you could also ask there.
