Guest guest
This question pops up often in my inbox and here's where we stand today on combined electric / acoustic stimulation. MED-EL, with it's EAS system , was the first to market with the technology. Now available in the European market, not approved yet in any other regions that I am aware of. The Duet and Duet 2 processors are based on MED-EL's Opus 1 and 2 platforms http://tinyurl.com/2xnmxe Cochlear's Hybrid is now available in Australia, New Zealand and S.E. Asia - awaiting approval in the European, US and Canadian markets. The Hybrid processor is based on the Freedom platform. http://www.cochlear.com/au/hybrid No publicly available word from Advanced Bionics or Neurelec on the topic.
