Guest guest
Seems this implant is for moderate sensorineural hearing loss. Most of us who qualify for a cochlear implant have a much mores severe loss. " A cochlear implant is an inner ear implant and the Esteem® is a middle ear implant. They address different degrees of hearing loss. A cochlear implant is for the profoundly deaf (greater than 90+ dB of loss). The Esteem® is indicated for moderate to severe hearing loss (40dB to 90dB). Guest guest
Yes, it is for moderate hearing loss. I applied to be in the study six years ago and was not accepted. I've since received a cochlear implants. I know a number of people who have the Envoy who are quite happy. Let me know if you want to connect.
