Guest guest
That is a good bluetooth neckloop. I have one. But wait a bit longer until Clearsounds releases the newest version which will support more protocols. It was to have been out April 1st but I have not seen it yet. Quote of the nanosecond. . . Guest guest
I am new to cochlear extra equipment and wanted to know if someone could help me finding something that I can use to help me hear from my iphone. I just received my implant in December 2009 but can already hear pretty clearly out of it, but still unable to speak on a phone. Would a Bluetooth help me with that? And if so , what kind would fit the Freedom 5 implant and and AT & T iphone? Thanks to anyone who could help me with this. I hate not being able to talk on the phone, and have heard that maybe a Bluetooth would help me with that, if not, what do I need to be able to hook up to my Freedom 5 cochlear and iphone to be able to hear on the phone again? Thanks!!!!! Guest guest
, You have the older CLA7 neckloop? The v2 model comes with 4 adapters. You either will use the 2.5 or the 3.5mm size. Each also has mono or stereo plugs. The Bluetooth devices we are talking about are small, and may have adapters also to fit 2.5 or 3.5. They also need to be charged up. Somewhat of a hassle when one already has a truckload of battery operated devices to be kept charged. LOL Yes, zero. I thought you didnt want to hear grunting of other people working out. LOL The Bluetooth neckloop can go inside the t shirt and uh, hide out very comfortably. LOL But sweat might be a problem eventually. See, even Bob doesnt want to go near that. Guest guest
Let's try this again. My internet connection is really slow for some reason.   Yes, I have the older model that only came with one adaptor. So Bob's assessment is probably correct. Actually our gym has a policy against grunting and slamming weights, so it isn't too bad. But today, there were several people talking which interfered with the music. So, it would be nice to listen to music when I'm working out on nautilus machines and doing my ab workouts, etc. And Bob...you are so politically correct. Obviously you learned quickly and are no dummy. Now , on the other hand..... Guest guest
Drat the internet. I am having to sit and wait for it constantly.  Yes, ...a 10 foot pole you will need...LOL I'm considering the new CLA7. But I'm also considering a new cell phone too since I made a huge mistake in getting the Blackberry Storm. It does not have M4/T4 compatability...and so while I can hear on it, it is a challenge to understand everything that is said. So now I'm avoiding the phone altogether, trying to get people to text me instead.   I feel like I'm going backwards instead of forward. Heck of a note, huh? And, BTW....me sweat??? Never!!! LOL Actually, I am finally getting to the point where I do sweat when I work out...must mean I'm finally making progress, huh? But now I'm wondering if I'll be able to continue. Was denied at the blood bank today...they wouldn't let me donate because of an irregular heartbeat...which is still continuing as I type.  Hopefully it will kick back into regular beats by tomorrow morning's workout.  Looks like it is back to the doctor I go next week.  ________________________________ From: C <rclark0276@...> Sent: Sat, April 10, 2010 8:28:10 PM Subject: Re: Compatible Blue Tooth neckloop  So now the internet is slow and that is causing...? Guest guest
LOL The pole is put aside. Last year some woman was sitting IN the street with a liittle kid. She was apparently waiting for someone but sheesh, sitting on the street with a kid running around and drivers unsure what was going on. So I called and the dispatcher was asking me questions I could not quite grasp. Come to find out, they are trained to ask lots of questions, specific ones. So you cant just call and relay a problem and be done with it. LOL Cop drove by shortly after and told the woman to get off the street. It comes down to understanding by context. I didnt expect the questions and was not ready to deal with that. But I did tweak my phone some time after that and think it will be better. I think it was a kind of voice enhancement feature that some phones have which in this case, made understanding speech worse. Hope the doc clears you for more workouts. Guest guest
Funny you should mention calling 911 today. I was just thinking about that...knowing that if I had to call my kids or 911 I would definitely not be able to understand what they are asking or saying unless I know what the context is....and when it is an emergency...time may be of the essence...  ________________________________ From: C <rclark0276@...> Sent: Sat, April 10, 2010 9:32:15 PM Subject: Re: Compatible Blue Tooth neckloop  LOL The pole is put aside. Guest guest
Upgrading to the CLA7V2 would kill two birds with one stone, . First, it would eliminate the T coil incompatibility - the BUZZ - of the BB Storm by distancing the BB from the processor T coil. BTW, the CLA7V2 is now shipping with 5 adapters - the fifth designed especially for iPhones and Blackberries ( 3.5mm, 4 conductor plug) That won't help with the BUZZ, of course, when you might want to use the phone sans neckloop. Second, your gym music will sound a lot better. The original CLA7, with the adapter, delivers the L channel only to the neckloop. With the CLA7V2, you'll have R+L merged! Bob ……….. Guest guest
That does sound superb, Bob. I've thought about using the BB with the neckloop, but it can be a pain making sure you have the neckloop with you at all times. Currently I keep my old neckloop with my gym bag so I know I'll have it with me everyday when I go to the gym. I'll have to do some thinking on this, and then of course, I'll have to make time to " shop " for the best price out there. I paid way too much for my last neckloop...don't want to make that mistake again. Hmmm, if I were to get both the bluetooth and v2 neckloops, how would I juggle all of that??? Bluetooth would be good with cell phone, and also the gym if I get the BT transmitter, but the newer v2 neckloop would be good with the MP3 player....oh, dear, this is making me dizzy....and so confused...as to the best way to marry all of my needs the most efficiently and effectively....and to make sure I have what I need where I need it the most...  ________________________________ From: MacPherson <hohbob@...> Sent: Sun, April 11, 2010 9:19:08 AM Subject: RE: Compatible Blue Tooth neckloop  Upgrading to the CLA7V2 would kill two birds with one stone, .
