Guest guest
Hello All, I'm also new to the group. I'm 48 and have a hereditary hearing loss. I got my first hearing aid when I was 25 (1984) and went bilateral in 1996. I started out with a mild loss, but it's deteriorated over the years and now I m struggling really hard to understand what people are saying. This has been especially difficult at work where I'm surrounded by " low talkers " . I joined this group last month after my audi recommended a CI (following a depressing hearing test), but I didn't want to say " boo " until I had met with the surgeon & audi in Sioux Falls on Nov 26th. Is there anyone on this list who was implanted in Sioux Falls, SD? My surgeon is Dr. . My next appointment is Dec 10th; A cat scan will determine which ear is implanted.
