Guest guest
Perhaps one possible solution is to have the package sent to your (home/work) building manager's office - if that is allowed. I hope you are able to find a solution. Guest guest
To all,  There is too much negativity on this mailing list from almost every one who writes in. It is not helpful at all. Almost everyone here is unemployed but may have an income from past gainful work or have a disABILITY that precludes this. I respect list subscribers who have something sensible to say other than slogans. Mindless criticism serves no useful purpose.  Gerald From: tedfthis <ted.fletcher@...> Subject: Re: Nucleus 5 Upgrade Date: Tuesday, November 24, 2009, 1:02 PM  You have a knack of turning mole hills into mountains, Gerald. Guest guest
Absolutely agree with you Gerald!! Some of you really need to think about what you've written before you hit send, and also take a good long hard look in the mirror next time you decided to judge another individual! Guest guest
There is a saying Gerald, " take what you want and leave the rest " . Not everyone turns the receiving of a parcel, into a major drama. Guest guest
Some of us call a spade, a spade, Nina. Everything in life isn't sugar coated. If you were around more often, you would read ALL the messages that get posted here. Then you might have a better understanding of other people, before you too, form a judgment. No genuine problems go unanswered and even problems that seem to just take common sense to solve, elicit replies. But things like getting a simple parcel delivered, that gets turned into a major drama, is coming the raw prawn. http://www.koalanet.com.au/australian-slang.html Under R for raw prawn. Guest guest
Oh, but Ted, I'm am around, always. You're just assuming that because I do not post a lot I'm not here, nor do I read. Well, you stand corrected, because you are absolutely wrong. I've read this whole thread and bit my tongue, by not replying. However, telling someone that they make mountains our of mole hills, or telling someone that, " If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. " is a bit much for a forum like this. I have not placed judgment on anyone here, I have not just pointed out that there have been comments that do not pertain to anything more than to beat someone down. In the schoolyard, this would be referred to as bullying. No kidding, life if not sugar -coated, does that give permission to speak down to someone. Just as Mike said in his email, " Obviously we don't have to respond to or even read all that comes our way. " There are some here who feel that does not apply to them, this is an opinion not a judgment. It's as if Gerald, must ignore what you all say to him, but he can't vent his frustrations without some of you having some snide comeback. I'm just going to guess here that many of you have had a frustration or two in your life where you just wanted to basically vent and for someone to " just " listen. But is sure seems that only applies to some people. What happen to compassion people!? You would think that in a group like compassion would exist. That's it for me. I'm out of this group. I imagine, I can find another group out there. For the few that I've become friends with, we are friends outside of and I will see them outside of here. Wish you all well. Guest guest
As am I - I found his remark quite insulting. I'm sure most of the members of this group are employed or have been employed and are prepared to give advice or at least suggest alternatives. To have this thrown back at our faces is very hurtful. Also, Gerald what do you mean by " disABILITY that precludes this? " If you mean a lot of us have a mindset that precludes us from being gainfully employed, well...I find that even worse. Now I AM going to shut up. I see no advantage in any of this. Kat On Tue, Nov 24, 2009 at 5:47 PM, Sheila Mann <hugnrn123@...> wrote: > > > Gerald, I think many, many people have tried to help you. Guest guest
Jay, Other than having your insurance cover the upgrade, I dont know. I upgraded from the 3G to the Freedom and it was definitely worth the cost. But I dont see that much difference between the Freedom and the 5 processor that would justify the cost that Cochlear expects. Just my humble opinion. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* Though the circular round-and-round of routine be the bulk of life's affairs, make an occasional jutting diversion - of fun, love, or something that will outlast you - so the shape and motion of your life shall resemble the round lifegiving sun with bright rays shining forth from all directions. --Destin Figuier & Dreamer Doll ke7nwn E-mail- rclark0276@...
