This is what I found out. " Under the new law, once a television program is published or exhibited on television with closed captions, any subsequent distribution of that programming on the Internet must include closed captions. " I guess this is what my local stations were saying,, " yesterday news are CC " But then, does it means, they will have to provide CC on the internet even though it was on TV and internet simulatively some day? The way my stations are doing, if I asked for CC, they will install the CC on old news, something I don't want. I also read that no one really knows when the law takes effect because it has to go through several committee sessions, but the committee should first meet by April 2011. I still think if everyone can watch live news on the internet, they should included CC option for us. The bill that was signed didn't cover that! Maybe the committees will fix it.
