Guest guest
, Hi and aint it been wet lately? LOL Ok just to be correct, you have the N22 implant with the Spectra processor. Since the Spectra is no longer supported, insurance will cover it. But there is that 20%. Do you have any supplemental insurance? The Lions might be a good place to start. And maybe Sertoma. *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* If you take a laptop computer for a run you could jog your memory. & Dreamer Doll ke7nwn E-mail- rclark0276@... Guest guest
Hi , Ah, gotta love the rain in Oregon. I just dont like the mud my dogs love to track in the house LOL. I do not have supplemental insurance, just Medicare. You are correct that I have the N22 implant and Spectra processor and other than the cords still working great. But I realize I have to change with the times. I will try and check out the Lions, but have not heard of Sertoma. Heading out today to OHSU so gotta find my boots now. Take care and stay warm, > > , > Hi and aint it been wet lately? LOL > > Ok just to be correct, you have the N22 implant with the Spectra > processor. Guest guest
Both of the cords and the coil are still listed in Cochlear America's online store, at amazingly low prices, . http://tinyurl.com/ykawbfb So, either the information you received was incorrect or the online store speaks with forked tongue! Bob ........ Questions about Cochlear and needing equipment, etc Alright, I have a Spectra implant and processor (yes I am an oldie...got it in 1997) Now I have been told there is no more equipment replacements such as cords and ear pieces that I need. SNIP.......
Guest guest
Hi , Whatever Medicare deems as " usual, customary and ordinary " is what they will pay, and it is a WHOLE LOT LESS than whatever the retail price is. Heard of someone who got an implant, and the bill came to over $67,000. After Medicare gave their usual customary and ordinary payment, and the hospital adjusted, the co pay was $350. LOTS less than 20% of $67,000. So when you check with Cochlear, tell them you are MEDICARE PRIMARY, and find out what the co pay is after that. I'm betting is will be zero. I do not have supplemental insurance, just Medicare ____________________________________________________________ Online Medical Insurance Get free online medical insurance quotes and save more money today. http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL2141/c?cp=5oGGhebgI8WlTfKcHRCejQAAJ1CAYQG2fn\ ZWBLacCwlpBoaTAAQAAAAFAAAAAOCCqD4AAAMlAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABJQNQAAAAA=

Guest guest
We have a Sertoma club here in Bismarck, ND, so I did a search on the www.sertomaclub.org/findaclub and they did list several clubs in ND. But when I did one on OR, nada...nothing. That's really a shame as they do wonderful things to raise funds for the hearing impaired. Now you guys have gone and done it...it's raining here and snow is predicted tonight!!! Had to race out and rake leaves last night before the storm hit. Thanks for blowing the weather my way! LOL  ________________________________ From: <rclark0276@...> Sent: Wed, October 28, 2009 10:39:48 PM Subject: Re: Re: Questions about Cochlear and needing equipment, etc  , I did a search for Sertoma in Oregon and came up empty. Guest guest
, When I lived in the Portland area a few years back, I did find a Sertoma club and met with them. So I was surprised to see no Oregon clubs at all. Maybe the search tool is busted. LOL Hey and who do we blame for OUR weather, huh? Oh yes, depending on time of year, its either Alaska or Southeast Asia. And you are welcome and here is more weather coming your way! LOL *---* *---* *---* *---* *---* I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman, " Where's the self-help section? " She said if she told me, it would defeat the purpose. & Dreamer Doll ke7nwn E-mail- rclark0276@... Guest guest
, If the Lions don't work, go to the Tigers. LOL. I phoned Cochlear today to ask about financing, and what they have as a copay on an upgrade, etc. IF you have the product number for the cords or whatever you need for the Spectra, they can see if they have it in stock. Be my first choice. Indeed, they are talking MORE than $1500 co pay, which I think is wrong. But you'd need to talk to someone in insurance reimbursement section of Cochlear. 1 800 523 5798. Give them a call and see what they tell you. good luck, , I did a search for Sertoma in Oregon and came up empty. Weird. Try the Lions.
